From co-founder Linda Fuller to long-time volunteer former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, women have always been a powerful force in Habitat for Humanity’s mission of affordable housing and homeownership.
We’re excited to launch our Women’s Giving Circle, a network of local women committed to supporting affordable housing for families in need!
The Giving Circle will empower women to be philanthropic on their terms. Members will connect with like-minded women through social gatherings and volunteer opportunities - all while directly sponsoring the construction of Habitat homes.
When women have safe, affordable places to call home, they build the strength and stability needed to create a brighter future for themselves and their families. At Habitat DC-NOVA, we know that affordable homeownership enables women to build intergenerational wealth and invest in their families and communities.
Habitat DC-NOVA aims to recruit 50 women to pledge $1,000 for two years as part of the WGC. During the second year, the $100,000 raised will enable a local family to purchase a Habitat home. By pooling our philanthropy, we can make transformational change in households, neighborhoods, and the greater DC metro region.
We want the Women's Giving Circle to be an inclusive and accessible group. We have provided a variety of donation options for your membership so you can decide which works best for you.
You can make a onetime donation of $2,000 for two years of membership or create a recurring donation. If you'd like to set up a recurring donation, please review the options below to ensure you select the correct amount when setting up your donation.
